Jeff Verman Bio

Jeff Verman, CEO

Jeff had the good fortune of spending eleven years of his life in university, working on 4 degrees, including a PhD in philosophy.  The discipline of philosophy was his main focus, although one year was spent on an M.A. in Economics.  Although an impractical subject, philosophy’s intellectual rigor has proven invaluable to him.  From mathematical logic to how to interpret data, the lessons learned provided a clear road map on how to operate a travel agency, which includes issues like helping clients understand their travel data in ways that are meaningful. Jeff’s goal with Plus Travel Group from the beginning was to deliver superb personal service; provide value beyond the mere booking of travel; and to stay ahead of the curve with the very best technology available in the industry.  

Jeff was once told to always surround himself with people who are better at doing the things he needed done than he’d ever be.  He’s done his very best to follow this advice.

Mark Crone Bio

Mark Crone, President

Mark is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has over 30 years of diverse and multi-national corporate travel experience with Plus Travel Group. He is focussed exclusively on travel management for clients including meetings, corporate events and group travel requirements. Mark is passionate about sharing his knowledge, ideas & insights to help optimize travel programs.

Mark is an avid skier and golfer and writes his own travel blog – Mark’s Travel Journal.

Michelle Brown, Director Of Operations

Michelle Brown - Director, Operations

Michelle understands fully the complexities of navigating the corporate travel and tourism landscape because she brings with her 30 years of travel industry experience. She was a travel consultant for 17 years before transitioning into a leadership role and is skilled in online travel, business travel, travel planning, customer service and building successful teams.

Michelle is the conduit between our valued clients and our amazing senior travel consultants and ensures that our high service standards are upheld allowing our travel consultants to continue to shine brightly!

Michelle is a graduate of the Tourism and Travel Services Management program offered through The Nova Scotia Business College.

AnaBela Couto

AnaBela Couto - Director, Client Care and Technology

AnaBela is a skilled manager with experience working in corporate travel and tourism.  She oversees key elements of Plus Travel Group’s service delivery including client care, account management and technology – and is obsessed with building the most effective team possible. She’s been in the travel industry for over 15+ years and actually started as a flight attendant, then transitioned into a customer service role at the airport before deciding to make the jump over to travel agency life!

AnaBela’s specialities include travel technology, negotiation, administration, account management, and building effective teams.

When she’s not on the job, she loves bike riding, nature walks and historic architecture.

AnaBela is a graduate of the Travel and Tourism program at the International Institute of Travel.

Kim Keith Bio

Kim Keith - Director, Corporate Sales and Marketing

Strategic, multidisciplinary marketer, sales professional and designer with an eye for innovation and reputation for creating winning strategies.

Although Kim’s skill set is vast her greatest expertise revolves around her ability to create potent marketing and business development strategies that produce results, and help businesses engage with their customers in a genuine way.  A Sales and Marketing Professional by education and passion, she brings with her expertise in business development, marketing, graphic design and interactive media.

1-part business development, 1-part marketer/designer, 2- parts strategy/process nerd, that loves trail running, drinking copious amounts of tea, and spending time with her family and 2 four legged children!

In addition to her experience and professional qualities, she possesses a solid educational foundation having studied Graphic Design and Interactive Media at the Toronto Film School offered through Yorkville University.
